Notes

• The front cover has is black and is divided up like a tic-tac-toe board or like the Brady Bunch intro. In the center is the VH logo with D.A.A Dreamer printed underneath it (on the side of the disc the title is correct and says Van Halen D.O.A Dreamer). The eight other squares are all pictures of the band. Each picture is outlined in yellow and stands alone from the others. All the pictures are of great quality and a brief description is listed below:
  1. Upper left hand corner. This is a old picture of Mikey. He is holding his bass and pointing with his right hand.
  2. Top center. Dave is running around on stage and is dressed in red garb.
  3. Upper right hand corner. Eddie is in front of Alex's kit. This picture is a little dark.
  4. Middle right. Dave is belting lyrics.
  5. Center. D.A.A. Dreamer with logo
  6. Middle Left. Dave and Eddie. Eddie has his guitar between his legs.
  7. Lower Left. Mike and Eddie. Eddie is point to the crowd and Mikey is singing.
  8. Bottom Center. Alex is standing up behind his kit and it looks like he is pouring a beer all over himself.
  9. Lower Right. Eddie kicking his axe up for a solo.
• The inside cover has a picture of all four band members jumping up in the air. It was obviously taken in Japan, because the title of a Japanese building can be seen behind them. It looks like all four band members are sporting bell bottoms!
• The inside cover is just one single page with the above pictures on it.
• The back cover is black with the song titles on it. Little Dreamer is misspelled Little Drumer. A picture of Eddie with his Destroyer is to the right of the lyrics.
• The jewel case has a black disc tray, but there is a picture on the back inside cover. The picture looks like it is a shot of Dave from the back. He is standing on stage in a stadium arena. Some audience members have a huge poster of the VH I album cover and are holding it up. This picture is definitely not from Japan (judging from the audiences appearance).
• The disc is black with a red center. D. O. A. Dreamer is printed on the disc.
• Track 5: "Where Were You" is really "Down In Flames". This title is on the UNCD's Disc II. Dave intros the song by saying that they are going to do one off the next album called "Down In Flames"
• This is an audience recording that gets a little better as the disc progresses on. Alex's drums sound a little muffled in the beginning and seem to fluctuate in and out of clarity. Dave's lyrics are a little hard to hear at first. The tape player kicks in and out a couple of times during the recording. You are able to hear a lot of clapping, whistling, and screaming from the crowd. Dave does a lot of his rapping throughout the concert.
• Eddie's solo sounds fairly close to cover with a little improvisation. It is a nice variety. The solo ends with a smooth transition into D.O.A.
• Overall, this is a B- to B+ audience recording. It a nice raw audience recording and is one of the few boots that I have seen with Down in Flames on the set list. If you have a chance to pick it up for your collection it would be a good addition.
