Notes

A great audience recording of the "Hide Your Sheep" 1982 Diver Down tour from Seattle Washington. Sound quality is comparable to the "Shouting Out Loud" show. Disc 1 is an overall "B+ / A-" type of quality. Disc 2 is a solid "A". It seems that Disc 2 could be from a different source than Disc 1 Both discs are definitely from the same show.
Right from the start you can tell this is going to be a "High" energy show as the crowd is screaming and several M-80 fireworks are going off.
Track 9 (Bass Solo) on Disc 1 is a cool one by Michael! It starts out with a sort of trippy sound and then he goes in to snippets of "Women And Children First", "The Bonanza Theme" and various other things.
The setlist is similar to most of the 1982 tour shows, with the exception of an impromptu tune Dave does before going into Ice Cream Man called "Washington". Dave starts out strumming on the guitar and starts singing a tune about being in Washington State. Dave then goes into "Classic" story telling mode where he tells the crowd about staying at one of the Hotels on the Seattle Waterfront (The Edgewater), which is built on pilings and hangs out over the water. He then goes on to tell the crowd about partying with the band and fishing out his window but he was so trashed he didn’t realize his fishing line was 2 feet off the water. A total classic Dave story at it’s best!
Track 17 on Disc 1 (Ice Cream Man) is cut-off and fades out at the last couple of seconds of the song.
The end of Disc 2 is sort of amusing also. After Van Halen leaves the stage when the encore is over, the crowd is still cheering & waiting for more music, but when the house music comes on over the PA system, the crowd erupts into one loud "AHH.......", then the noise fades out. The show is then finally over.
The artwork appears to be professionally done with bright colors and easy to read text throughout.
The artwork on the front cover is yellow with a large Washington State picture in the center, with a "Diver Down" red & white stripe color pattern. The words Van Halen & Hung 'Em High In Seattle are in black.
The inside of the front cover is blue with a picture of Dave & Eddie from the 1982 tour in the middle. The words "Seattle Center Coliseum" & "September 2nd, 1982" are in red text.
The back artwork contains a picture of the Seattle skyline in a long exposure shot with the Space Needle and the lights from the surrounding buildings in a cool sort of streaking pattern. The back also includes the text "Limited Edition Of 300 Copies World Wide".
