Notes

• The cover is a HQ pic of Ed from '84, smiling and wearing his yellow and black tiger shirt. His pic overlays red and white stripes which is the pattern on the back as well. His guitar partially goes into the cover and so does his right hand (It looks really cool). On the right side of the cover it says "1984 PREVIOUS NIGHT" in green letters. On the left side of the front if you look through the jewel case it says "V A N H A L E N" in red on a white background which gives the whole package added beauty.
• The inside has another '84 pic of Ed on red & white stripes but this time his guitar fret is there along with his left hand. The same stripes are under where the CD sits.
• The back has small individual pics of each member, circa 1984 and on the left side is the track listing with a pic of a riffle on the bottom representing the label "elements of crime," but since this CD is only one element it says "ELEMENT OF CRIME" by the riffle.
• The CD itself looks like a vinyl record. The middle is red with the incorrect spelling of "1984 Previous Night". It says "1984 Previos Night."
• Based on the tracks and the order in which they follow each other this is basically the same as the "Eddie Van Halen: Guitar Man" CD and the last third of the "At the best" CD. However, "At the best" does not include tracks 9-13 which are the more interesting tracks.
• Tracks 1 through 8 and 11 are Guitar instrumental takes.
• Tracks 9 and 10 are Instrumental takes.
• Tracks 12 and 13 are Demo takes.
• The sound of guitar instrumental takes: Eruption is a "B" the rest are B+/A-
• The sound of the Instrumental takes is "A-".
• The sound of the Demo takes is A/A+.
• As with many Van Halen bootleg recordings, "1984 Previous Night" is recommended to die hard fans. It's also recommended to those who don't have "Eddie Van Halen Guitar Man."
